What if the same artificial intelligence can be used in all tasks? The idea is that the same base code can use in all systems. The name of this kind of system, where the machine can learn skills like a human is the common artificial intelligence. The difference with specific artificial intelligence is that in the common artificial intelligence the same code base is handling all kinds of missions. In specific artificial intelligence, the code base is programmed or rewritten for every object or actor separately.
Specific artificial intelligence means the system that can make certain things in certain sectors. The intelligent autopilot, which can avoid the impact of the aircraft by changing course automatically is a good example of specific artificial intelligence. If the computer of the aircraft can communicate with the control unit of the other, the other controller of the autopilot can tell others, that they would turn to the left, and the other computers can react to that thing the right way.
So if there is coming some other airplane in impact course, the other autopilot can turn right and others can turn left in that kind of systems, and this is the reason, why network-based systems are so effective. The data about chancing the course can share with every aircraft, and they can change their altitudes and speed for avoiding risky situations.
The problem with specific artificial intelligence is that every each solution requires its codebase. And that thing makes developing artificial intelligence complicated. But what if the developers can create one code base, what can learn things like a human or some kind of dog?
The idea of common artificial intelligence is simple. The same code base can learn different things. So that makes it possible that the same artificial intelligence can fly aircraft, or it can make surgical operations, or perhaps it would control the money flow on the internet. The idea is that the same program can be loaded with different skill modules.
We have one common intelligent system. Our brains are similar, but we have different skills. So brains are closest to the common artificial intelligence. Brains can learn things spontaneously. And the same way common artificial intelligence learns things.
The system of common artificial intelligence is similar to brains. We all have similar brains but different skills. But the fact is that the driver of the car, writer of the text, and chef who is making the food are all using similar brains. But the skills what the brains of those people are handling are different. So the skills that people have might be different even if their brains are similar. And the skills are like modules, which are connected to the brains.
Common artificial intelligence means a learning machine, that can use for all purposes. The learning process of the common artificial intelligence is similar to ours. The system is always similar and the form of data that is driven to the common artificial intelligence is free, the common artificial intelligence can find that data from the internet, or it can scan the data from the books. So teaching artificial intelligence is a similar process to teaching humans or animals like dogs.
