Because birds are spending less time on the ground, animals like snakes, which are eating birds must find other food sources. 

And those kinds of cases are dangerous. The fact is that the longer wings and smaller bodies are purely genetic things. The genetic breeding of the species is happening that the members of species are making descendants with individuals, which have longer wings. 

But the hotter summer might mean that the birds are starting to make eggs earlier in spring, and later in autumn, where the temperature is not damaging their eggs. And that means that the behavioral evolution of species has the same way big effect on the environment as genetic evolution. A changing environment requires the ability to adapt to the demands and challenges, what the changing environment gives to species, what is living in there.
