Hawking was right. And Hawking was wrong.



Stephen Hawking was a human, like everybody of us is. We all make mistakes and this thing is remarkable in human nature. Nobody is right every time during their life, and even the greatest of all scientists are making mistakes. When we are thinking about the time when Hawking introduced his theories of black holes, the time was the 1970's, when there were no black holes even known. The entire black hole was the theory. 

Then in the early 1970s, the SAS Uhuru X-ray satellite confirmed that the target "Cygnus X-1" was the powerful X-ray source. The distance to that object is over 6000 light-years. And the thing that Cygnus X-1 is a bright  X-ray object detected for the first time in the early 1960s'. But first, the source of those observations claimed to be the X-ray emission from the Earth's atmosphere.  The Cygnus X-1 was problematic because there is a massive object what was invisible. That invisible and massive object sends the radiation with the X-ray frequency. 

That means that the source of the X-ray radiation is an extremely powerful nuclear reaction. Then the existence of the first known black hole confirms but the observation tools were not so advanced, that the close- images were possible to get. The new observation tools. Like very accurate X- and gamma-ray telescopes and artificial intelligence. 

That can connect data from the different sources like radio-, visible light, X- and gamma-ray frequencies, or filter other than one precise wavelength away. That type of system allowing to create the incredible databank about the black holes. The high-power calculation tools are making it possible to handle extremely long decimal numbers. 

Those systems can make simulations, which are making it possible to find the places of black holes more accurately than ever before. And that allows aiming the telescopes more accurately to the area where the black holes could locate, with the highest possible probability.  

In the time when Stephen Hawking started to form his theories about black holes, there were no single observations about black holes. The fact is that when theories of the particles, what pulls also light in them created some people had hard to accept the existence of black holes because that requires that the light and objects are traveling faster- than light behind the event horizon.

At the point of the event horizon, the escaping velocity is the same as the speed of light. So behind the event horizon, the escaping velocity is higher than the speed of light. And particles should drop to the center of the black hole with a speed that is the same as escaping velocity so inside the black hole the particles should travel faster, than the speed of light. And that is the reason why black holes are invisible to us. 

When Hawking began his work with black holes, there was not even evidence about the existence of those objects, black holes that are pulling even light inside them. Those things were purely theoretical, and we still have no observations about things that are happening behind the event horizon. The final observation of the information is at the front point of the event horizon. 


And finally...


When we are searching for inaccuracies of the work of Stephen Hawking we must remember that writing was difficult for that man because of the ALS syndrome. Also, things like paper-written books have limited space. And that kind of thing is making problems with that thing.
