A couple of words about Erewhon. The fantasy world where technology is prohibited. (Erewhon Part II)

For the foreman of the workers, Erewhon is like heaven on Earth. The air is clean and life rolls. And if henchmen have no time to think about their condition, that means they cannot miss anything more than work. Work keeps those people out of the libraries, and they cannot miss anything better if they don't know the existence of a better world. So the technology is prohibited because the workers are kept on work that way. 

Erewhon would be a good place to live. The air would be clean and the carbon dioxide pollution is minimum. Life is healthy, and if you would not get ill, that world might look like paradise. It would be like a lottery win to born in a world, where technology is prohibited. Ad if you are the foreman for people, Erewhon would be like heaven on Earth. Strong hands are enough, and too educated people are only fat. 

They are wasting their time on meanless philosophy and reading. Things like reading are bringing bad ideas in the head of people, and that's why they should work during all their wake-up time. The only thing that workers should do is working, sleeping and more children. 

People would stay at work, and they would not have time to think things like, could there be the machines, what can make their jobs? The workers would spend their free time during sleep because life is heavy. And that keeps the society restless. The work of the foreman would not be so hard, and the situation where the work would do without technical equipment would fit fine to foremen, who are sitting on their chairs. 

The resistance against changes would be hard.The hardest resistants against change and the use of machines would be the foremen. Where the change is needed? The work would keep the society restless, and if labor has too much time to think things, they might realize that the foremen would have an easy life. Why everybody should let sit on a chair, while the machines are making their jobs? Every single foreman is, of course, earned their position. And that means that the traditions are holy in that society. If somebody excuses the system, that kind of person is a nut or maniac. 

That means these kinds of utopistic thinkers should send to mental hospitals and criminals who are hated people can be good guards for that kind of mentally ill people. That kind of past would guarantee that nobody speaks to guards, and it denies that the wrong type of ideas would not spread out in the entire society. What would the people do with their free time except for sleep and make children for the workforce? Their mission is to work for people, who are ruling them.
