MVP (Minimum Viable Product) means a product that can be presented to customers without revealing the secrets of production and research. In MVP, all non-necessary parts are removed. And the system is just an empty model for interesting customers. There is one reason why MVP models are used in the sales process.
The MVP prohibits industrial spies from gaining secrets or information. So the key rule is to disclose only a minimum amount of information to customers and leads. As the image above shows, some product features have been removed. Products reserved for demonstration are simplified or stripped. And these deleted things or "candies" are only presented by real customers.
Those are reserved only for the internal use of the company. Normally all products that are delivered to the customers are somehow MVP products. The customer can see only the product. But the customer cannot see the manufacturing process or get access to the components or the controlling software of the systems. In the marketing process, all other than the necessary information is denied from the customer. So the delivering a minimum mass of information the company protects its secrets.
This Mule-prototype is a good example of the MVP model.
The MVP is the working model, where is removed, everything else than the necessary parts. It means the prototype that is meant for introduction to the customers. So the MVP means the machine, that works with minimum parts.
A good example of the MVP models is the prototype military robots that are using the lawnmower's engine. The system might also be remote-controlled and very noisy. The difference between the production model and the MVP model is that the system uses silent power sources. Like batteries or fuel cells. Also, the artificial intelligence with the production model could be far advanced than the MVP model.
