Alien life can be very different than life on Earth

When we are creating self-replicating molecules for nanotechnology, we might ask are we creating life? Self-replicating molecules can cover entire planets and act like nano-machines. So should we call the self-replicating molecules, that are not contain DNA lifeforms? So how we describe life?

Is the ability to create descendants enough, or should that independent self-replication process be enough? In that case, the molecule would make copies of itself in a certain chemical environment, but that environment would not be inside the cells.

If we are trying to think about the form of the alien life, we must realize that there could be planets, where are only vegetables. That means the lifeforms would not move at all, and that makes them hard to detect, especially if those lifeforms are recycling oxygen inside their cell core. Or they can be like crystal flowers, the silicon-based crystals, which are controlled by the DNA.

In some theories, the alien lifeform is like bacteria or fungus, which takes its oxygen from the mineral oxides. That kind of creature could also recycle the oxygen inside their core, and that means the creature would not release the gas to the atmosphere. If we are thinking about the alien lifeforms as fungus, what can able to make photosynthesis, the main part of fungus can hide under the stones, and only the end of the thread is getting radiation.

That means the end of the thread could forming by fast replicant cells, which are destroyed in that process, and fungus will take those nutrients from those cells to the rest of its hypha. That fungus can take the water from crystals if the planet is really dry, or it could be the silicon-based vegetable, that cannot move at all. That kind of creature would be like self-replicating crystals.

The silicon-based lifeform can be like a self-replicant crystal, which cannot move at all. That means it would be the silicon-based vegetable, that can create copies of itself but it cannot move at all. So that thing has caused ideas that the alien lifeforms on alien planets can be very common, but detecting them is very hard. There is the possibility that those alien lifeforms are the diatoms, what are lurking under the water, and recycle oxygen in their core. In that case, the lifeform is not silicon-based it's silicon core, and diatoms are creatures that are living on earth.

Many times people have discussed the silicon-based lifeforms, and here is one detail in that discussion. Those lifeforms might be like silicon flowers rather than silicon animals. In that scenario, silicon-based lifeform is like self-replicant crystals, rather than some birds or other animals. The growth and actions of those crystals might also control by DNA, and in that case, the lifeform is like an abiogenetic self-replicant crystal, which is forming certain forms.
