The ion propellant aircraft and their problems



In this writing, the point of view is in the atmosphere operating ion jet engines, which can use in aircraft. Those systems would be hybrid operating. The electric jet engine would be equipped with an ionizer and a magnetic track, which is increasing the speed of the exhaust gas. The plasma-ion engines can give powerful thrust to aircraft if the density of the plasma is high enough.

There has been introduced an idea that the jet engine will equip with a system, that ionizes air at the front of it. Then the magnets will pull that ionized air back and that system will give the thrust to the aircraft and space rockets.

Those ion thrusters don't need any kind of moving parts, and if the system gets energy from somewhere like remote electric transmitting it doesn't need any kind of internal power source.  The problem with ion thrusters is that the ionized gas denies radio-based communication. There is introduced an idea, that the high-speed drones, which is equipped with ion thrusters will fly between enemy air defense and that ion flow, what comes out from the thrusters would make mask between the enemy radars and own aircraft.

The Tokamak reactor allows to create clean energy, but it can also use to make extremely powerful laser pulses and that thing makes those reactors interesting tools. The idea in the laser system is that the laser burst will shoot through the donut-shaped plasma ring, which pumps energy to that ray. The plasma-lasers can have almost similar power with the antimatter lasers, and that thing allows researchers to create the most impressive plasma engines and weapon systems, what we can even imagine. There has been introduced an idea, that the exhaust gas of the rocket will be heated by using the laser or microwave.

And when the temperature of those exhaust gases will rise, that thing will increase the power of the engine. The microwave or laser system can heat the exhaust gas in the jet pipe, which allows the heat in the combustion chamber can be lower. If the microwave or laser systems are used to heat the medium, that allows making possible to create a rocket, that doesn't need oxygen. And that leaves more space for cargo. The ion thrusters can also take gas from the air, and then heat it to extremely high temperatures.

The rocket, which uses an ion thruster would have a channel in the middle of it. Then the air would ionize at the front of it, and then the magnets would accelerate the ion flow.

If we are thinking about the possibility that the rocket with plasma-ion thruster can rise from the ground and fly to space, we might think of the possibility that the laser- or microwave system will heat the air under the rocket, and then the plasma will be driven backward when it will push the aircraft or rocket forward. The problem with plasma thrusters, which are taking gas from the air, and then ionize it is that this kind of system would make problems with radio-wave-based communication through that area, where that system is used.
