The Chinese military is the new challenger.

The new U.S. hypersonic jet can be a reality quite soon. But can it give a response to Chinese new military tools? The new Type 094  class submarines are new tools that came into service in 2020. And those systems are newer and more modern than Virginia class submarines that entered service in 2000. That means the Chinese can know the weaknesses of the older Virginia class submarines. The Chinese military has tested many new tools that can cause damage or even cheapen the GPS and other satellites.

The miniature shuttles that China tested might be made for ASAT (Anti-Satellite) missions. The Chinese want to develop AI and there are also discussions of genetically engineered super soldiers. At the same time, Western militaries stand still and wait for the next move. The big difference between the Western and Chinese R&D processes is that the Chinese have unlimited budgets. Chinese developer teams must not care about public opinion.

When we think about the hole in the Western space defense the hypersonic missiles are the most well-known problems. But things like Chinese space stations are the thing that we must realize as a threat to satellites and maybe to ground targets. There is the possibility that the space stations can carry things like rail guns that can destroy satellites and at least high-flying aircraft.

The railguns can be in the satellite and those systems can be modular. The railgun can be the satellites that go into the row and then it shoots bullets through those systems. The modular satellite row where the magnetic track is inside those satellites. Can form tens of kilometers long structures.

Above: Haolong: A Reusable Cargo Shuttle for Tiangong Space Station. The problem is that this kind of system can have multiple uses.

Things like solar power satellites can also destroy other satellites. Those systems can be very powerful.

The energy satellite can turn into a weapon by pressing a button. Private companies plan to send laser-power satellites to the orbital. And if they aim their beams into the other satellites that can destroy those satellites immediately. In the same way, powerful laser beams can cause fires and destroy infrastructure if they are aimed at ground targets.

The new U.S. hypersonic jet, the SR-72 "The Son of the Blackbird," is state-of-the-art. The fact is that the U.S. government requires new and powerful tools to fight against countries like China. Maybe Chinese engineers make aircraft and submarines that can even beat the F-36. And that new challenger requires new tools.

The spaceborne laser-satellite can deliver energy to Earth. And it can also destroy other satellites. And cause damage to ground-based infrastructure.

The problem with the U.S. government is that those F-36 jet fighters have many delays, and their military requires fast modernization that can respond to the new threat from the East. The hypersonic missiles are giving the ultimate strike capacity to China and North Korea. And the Chinese new submarines can challenge the elder U.S. Navy systems. The miscalculation about the rise of China and North Korea caused panic in the U.S. military.

That panic is that the U.S. should transport also its newest aircraft to the Far East so that it can respond to the Chinese new military tools. That thing is the biggest problem in NATO. While the Western military repeated the mantra, that the Cold War was over, the Chinese military made systematical R&D work with submarines and aircraft.

As well as things like electromagnetic railgun, and laser technology. The Chinese submarines are new. They use state-of-the-art technology. Chinese don't make copies anymore. They connect data that hackers stole to self-developed technology. The Chinese authorities can work with its projects freely. The U.S. high-tech industry requires extraordinary metals that China produces.
